Remember in the accepted version of the Bible how Jesus blasts a fig tree? I always found that difficult to believe that he would do that. When I found this, on another website in its entirety, I was hooked. Especially when it showed Jesus blessing the fig tree for providing shade, food and a home for the birds. That sounds more like the Jesus I picture in my head. I could go on and on about my opinions of this book, however, so I won't. I feel I can read it more objectively than many "believers" because I was raised atheist. My mother, who was my spiritual influence as I grew up, never disrespected the person of Jesus. I was taught that he was a great teacher and wise man, but that was all. Some Christians, in fact most of them that follow the canonical Bible, would probably be greatly offended by this book (eg, the Christ is Jesu-Maria -- Jesus and Mary and I think they mean Magdalene, not Mom). I don't think there's a single mention of Paul/Saul of Tarsus and his alleged writings. When I decided, on a whim, to search for it on Amazon I was amazed that it was in print. Any way, take it from a Unitarian-Universalist atheist: it's a cool book and worth it.This book changed my life. The truth will set you free. This one really convicted my spirit about animal cruelty and it blessed me to see Jesus care so much about them!!! I also loved to see Jesus spell out the holy twelve commandments! It’s very plausible that our common translations are missing a lot of these passages. I highly recommend it!!!Whether or not you believe this is a 'real' gospel. I just love this book. There is so much more to love about Jesus than in the redacted 4 gospels of the christian bible.I love this book, and it has changed my life for the better. It's making sense. What wasleft out as far as Commandments of Jesus, is now here for all to see. The Holy Twelverefers to his 12 commandments. Somehow they didn't make it into our bibles. Whenyou read them you will see how many mirror the ones in our bible, but a few were cutshort and I suspect it was for church agendas. His yoke is light and the path is narrowfor those who choose to follow him. Excellent............keep it by my bedside. It's comfortingtoo, and brings a soothing deep peace. When I was looking for answers I studied all the religions and came to conclusions in this gospel. It's like I wrote it myself! :) About treatment of animals, the all parent, mother earth and meat.... makes more sense as a messenger of love ... definitely worth a read and spot on every bookshelf! It is a good book, and to me this has truth ringing through out its pages, peices of the puzzle that have been missing from the new testament. I liked it and would recommend.Very informative and lines with the King James versionIve bought 3 im giving some to friends as its a true interpretation of the first century JesusApart from a few minor spelling mishaps, this is a whole new perspective on who Jesus was. If it is the true doctrine as claimed or not, i do not know, nor is it my place to tell you, but what I do know is that it felt like it gave a more complete insight into Jesus as a person than the four canonical gospels in the bible. I recommend this book to everyone on a path to wisdom and truth, or anyone interested in pseudopigraphs or apocryphas. All i can say is that I had a lot of enjoyment in reading it.It was interesting to read and differed from the form found in the New Testament. I wonder how accurate this is to what the disciples actually jotted down. I was interested in some of the symbolism. So impressed with this find. It's a true classic.Very quick delivery. No problems at all.
