Intel Core i5-10400 2.9GHz Six-Core Twelve-Thread LGA 1200 Desktop Processor - 12MB Cache, 65W TDP for Gaming PC, Workstation & Home Office Use

So I already have an AMD cpu that is faster than this but that runs hot and needs a beast of a cpu cooler and multiple case fans to keep it under control. Not to mention it cost about 3 times the price of this. I wanted a low cost low heat cpu and this seemed to fit my purposes. It has 6 cores and 12 threads so not amazing but to be honest it plays the games I want at high fps on medium to high settings with a bit of tweaking for 60+ fps. It even has intelHD graphics built in so if you need to diagnose problems or just need a simple media media then you can make do without a dedicated GPU. Ofcourse, if you want to game properly, add a 3060Ti/4060Ti and you're good to go for the next few years at 1440P 60fps at med settings. If older games can do high and even ultra such as Alien Isolation, Shadow of tomb raider, Apex legends etc. So it's a good CPU even in 2024.
